SUSAN FANG Fall/Winter 2025/2026 Best Looks Milan – Fashion Channel

As this season’s spotlight designer in the Supported by Dolce & Gabbana initiative, Susan Fang delivered a show that was nothing short of spellbinding. Her Fall 2025 presentation, titled “Air Memory,” explored the lightness of being—literally—translating the intangible essence of air into billowing silhouettes and dreamy fabrications that seemed to levitate with every step.

Fang, known for her poetic imagination and technical precision, channeled her Chinese heritage through painterly references: from the soft hues of jade and porcelain to hand-embroidered landscapes inspired by her mother’s self-taught artwork. The result? A deeply personal, culturally rich collection that married craft with emotion.

The most jaw-dropping moments came in the form of “folded-rainbow dresses,” spectacular confections of woven gauze ribbons that shimmered like floating flower fields—meant to symbolize love’s unseen energy. Pastel “bubble dandelions” made by Zhuang minority mothers adorned gowns with meaning and texture, a collaboration rooted in empowerment and heritage.

Fang also debuted new materials thanks to Dolce & Gabbana’s support, experimenting with denim, corsetry, sneakers, and sequins—including a breathtaking elongated jacket hand-painted with her mother’s hometown. A touching full-circle moment came with the finale: three ephemeral wedding gowns created for Fang’s own upcoming nuptials, crafted from her signature Air-Flowers.
