The Mitch Hedberg Project – (Lost Footage) 27min Unseen Standup Comedy Pilot 2001

A rough cut of The Mitch Hedberg Project pilot from 2001, restored and upscaled from an old VHS found in Doug Stanhope’s crawlspace. More rare unseen footage on the Patreon!

This was a pilot Hedberg shot for MTV in 2001. It follows Mitch, Lynn and their friends on tour across California – focusing particularly on Mitch’s friend, Eddy, "The Possum Man".

At one point, Doug is called in by Mitch to prank Eddy, pretending to be a talent agent.

This cut features standup from Mitch, Lynn, Eddy and their MC, Rico. The VHS also included a cut down 22min version, which loses the standup from Lynn etc and was even more degraded – so it made the most sense to restore and upscale this longer 26min cut.
