“Extra” talks to “Squid Game” stars Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun and creator-writer-director Hwang Dong-hyuk about the third and final season. Dong-hyuk talked about putting six years of his life (and ten teeth!) into the show and the bittersweet feeling bringing it to an end. He spoke about why this was the right time to wrap up and said it’s the most befitting closure for the message the show tries to convey. Jung-jae teased where we find Gi-hun (Player 456) after his failed rebellion and losing his friend — will he be able to recover or turn to the dark side? Plus, Byung-hun talked about this character Front Man and the layers of emotions, saying he seems like absolute evil, but we might get a sliver of hope. “Squid Game” Season 3 drops June 27 on Netflix.
