After 35 years behind bars, the Menendez brothers are one step closer to freedom after a judge resentenced them to 50 years to life, making them eligible for parole. Lyle and Erik’s family members and his lawyer Mark Geragos celebrated outside the courthouse after the ruling on Tuesday. L.A. DA Nathan Hochman, who had been pushing hard to keep them locked up, spoke with “Extra” to react to the resentencing. He said he believes the judge “decided to resentence probably a long time ago.”
